We are recruiting for a Project Manager to join us here at Octavius. Following a string of successful contract awards we are enhancing the Highways delivery team with a couple of key additions. Schemes we are looking for people to run are located in Surrey, Hampshire, Wiltshire, Kent, Norfolk, Essex and Cambridgeshire.

We are a leading civil engineering organisation delivering safe, sustainable, and efficient transport solutions across the UK.

You'll be working on . (what your role and responsibility is)
- **Customers: **A delighted customer that prefers Octavius for the delivery of their projects. The customer is informed, engaged and delighted with project performance and the travelling customer has an improved experience in and around our infrastructure projects.
- **Brand**: Promote the Octavius culture and lead by example by demonstrating the agreed values and behaviors in all interactions with the team, including suppliers and customers. Create a culture that is underpinned by professionalism and quality.
- **Leadership**: A fully accountable leader of the site team that leads by example follows the Octavius vision, developing themselves and others whilst empowering our people. Promotes a site safety culture that focuses on leadership at all levels, with everyone going home safe, every day.
- **People: **Create the environment for our people to grow and develop. Ensuring that our people are fully engaged, meeting their clearly defined responsibilities and delivering maximum performance whilst remaining safe and healthy. Aspire to create a seamless link to our supply chain, ensuring they are fully embraced, so that there is shared learning, risks and rewards.
- **Process**: To adhere to an efficient set of Octavius systems and processes. Ensure that legislative, mandatory policies and procedures are delivered appropriately within a governance framework.
- **Financial**: Accepting accountability for profit and loss for our project or projects, successfully return a profitable outcome, in line with the agreed site targets. Be aware of and understand Infrastructure target to deliver volumes within the customer efficiency targets and the delivery of a progressive turnover growth with a sustainable profit before tax.

A team of highly motivated, dedicated professionals delivering projects across a variety of frameworks with clients such as National Highways and various local authorities and county councils.

- Also sets clear line management targets for the members of the site team. Meets targets set by own manager and is focused on developing capability further. Identifies individuals on site who are keen to develop further.

You'll bring(your wealth of experience & qualifications)
- Has worked on a broad section of disciplines such as groundwork's, RC structures, geotechnical, Civils, section 278 works and can demonstrate a clear understanding in these areas.
- Experienced at working within a roads or highways environment, ideally on National Highways owned infrastructure.
- Experience of personal responsibility in managing projects or project sections up to £10 million
- Knowledge of programming and Conditions of contract (NEC, ICE etc.).
- Qualified to HNC or Degree standard in Civil engineering or Construction Manager (Aspirations of gaining chartered status within (ICE or IOB)
