- **The Role: Health & Safety Advisor**_

This is a brand-new role at FSS and a superb opportunity for someone looking to develop their experience and be part of a fast-growing company. The role is very 'hands on' and requires an energetic and enthusiastic individual ready to take on a challenge. The successful applicant for the **Health & Safety Advisor** role will be someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment, thrives working within a team and is passionate about all things Health & Safety.
- This position is standalone with the support of external advisors.
- The role is fully based on site in Thornton, Bradford.
- Hours: 22-30 over 3-4 days - 7.5-hour days (negotiable)
- Salary: up to £35,000 pa (FTE)
- Travel to sites across the UK will be required at times.
- This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to influence across all levels of the business.
- Ideally, you will have extensive experience working within an advisory role in Health and Safety.
- You will be familiar with the engineering and/or fuel industry and the relevant regulations (including CDM regulations).
- **The key duties for the Health & Safety Advisor are**:_
- Be a first point of contact for all matters Health & Safety for all employees.
- Advise all employees on Health & Safety matters.
- Assist with the development and improvement of health and safety documentation in relation to all site works and for the central office.
- Conduct relevant Health & Safety audits and provide recommendations and actions for continuous improvement.
- Take ownership of PPE allocation and continually assess the suitability depending on job requirements.
- Assist with developing training opportunities for all employees in Health & Safety.
- Liaise with clients and suppliers regarding Health and Safety, making recommendations where required.
- Complete and maintain all internal H&S administration.
