THE PERSON

The Kitchen Porter, reporting to the Head Chef and Sous Chef will demonstrate passion about the role and what they have to offer in the kitchen, take pride in their work and aspire to company standards. They will have preferred experience in a Kitchen Porter role and have the ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

We require a hardworking and passionate Kitchen Porter to join our Kitchen team and assist the Head Chef and his brigade team to deliver high quality of food preparation and presentation.

RELATIONSHIPS
- Reports directly to the Head Chef/Sous Chef.
- Interacts with other members of the kitchen and F&B team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- To arrive in good time and dressed appropriately for the start of service
- Clean food preparation areas, equipment, crockery and cutlery.
- Ensure that during service, all items are cleaned as quickly and efficiently as possible.
- To ensure the pot wash machine and area are prepared and ready for service.
- Keep work surfaces, walls and floors clean and sanitised.
- Empty all bins and clean on a regular basis.
- To work within the Health & Safety and Food Hygiene Regulations with regard to the cleanliness and hygiene of your working area and all equipment in that area
- Help with basic food preparation
- Unload food deliveries.
- Help keep the storeroom organised.
- To understand and observe all Health & Safety regulations, COSHH HACCP, Food Safety and Safety at work act while on company premises.
- Must willing to undertake any reasonable requests made of them by the Head Chef or Sous Chef including flexibility in hours and responsibility.

**Salary**: Up to £8.91 per hour
