**Job Title: Accounts Administration Assistant**
**Term**:Permanent
**Hours**:37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, hours to be agreed.
**Salary**:£10.30 per hour
**Responsible to**:Accounts Manager
**Base**:Newfield House, Vicarage Lane, Blackpool, FY4 4EW

**This role will require the post holder to exercise discretion, diplomacy and to adhere to confidentiality at all times.**
**Job purpose**
To be an integral member of the finance team supporting the whole FCMS organisation.
**Key Responsibilities**:
This role will support all aspects of the finance function including purchase ledger, sales ledger, banking, reporting, analysis - full training will be given for all technical aspects of the role, but initiative is vital.
**Key Duties**:
- To undertake any work required within the finance function, including administrating the purchase invoice system, raising invoices, and tracking payments, maintaining spreadsheets, working with other departments regarding costs, filing, reconciling accounts and much more
- To be highly organised with an eye for detail
- To be able to plan, organise and execute tasks with an awareness of impact to others
- To be proactive and prioritise daily workload accordingly
- Undertake any other ad-hoc general duties as required and agreed within the finance office
- To adhere to Health and Safety Policies and Procedures and to be mindful of the welfare of other people, always following safe working practices both in the working environment and whilst working from home

- Is IT literate; confident working with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, and Excel) and has robust keyboard skills. Advanced Excel skills or an aptitude for working with Excel with a willingness to learn advanced skills would be beneficial

- Is capable of managing own workload and can prioritise tasks as appropriate to the changing needs of finance office

**EXPERIENCE**
**ESSENTIAL - **Experience of accounting / financial administration
Ability to work on own initiative
Ability to work in a team and have a flexible approach to work
Experience of prioritising workload to meet competing deadlines
Strong attention to detail
**DESIRABLE - **Knowledge of sales/purchase ledger and banking
**QUALIFICATIONS**
**ESSENTIAL - **GCSE (or equivalent) passes in Mathematics and English Language
**DESIRABLE - **To have an accounting qualification eg AAT
**SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & COMPETENCIES**
**ESSENTIAL - **Able to work in a busy office environment with effective work prioritisation and task allocation.
Excellent IT skills, particularly proficiency with spreadsheet software
High level of accuracy
Able to work under pressure
Highly organised
Demonstrates a logical and methodical approach with attention to detail and accuracy
**DESIRABLE - **Advanced IT skills
**SPECIFIC JOB REQUIREMENTS**
