Job Title: Female Day Support Worker

Location: Gravesend

Job Salary: £11.44 - £12.40 per hr

Hours: 12 hour days, 2 days on 2 days off (8am-8pm)

Forge House Care are a supported living provider for adults with learning disabilities, autism, mental health disorders and challenging behaviour.

We are looking for full-time Support Workers to support our service users to live independently.

**General Description**
- Helping our service users to effectively budget their money
- Assisting service users with meal preparation, cooking, and adhering to their nutrition and dietary plan
- Positively encouraging our service users to make their own choices and empower them to pursue hobbies and interests
- Assisting our service users with their personal care routine (this could include washing, bathing, dressing, toileting, and oral hygiene)
- Escorting service users on day trips and engaging in physical activities e.g., swimming, cycling, walking etc.
- Supporting service users physical and mental welfare
- Accurate report writing and recording
- Promote our company values within your working day

**Criteria**:

- A full UK Driving Licence.
- An enhanced DBS check will be sought upon conditional offer of employment
- Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities or behaviours that challenge would be advantageous, but not essential.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide support and assistance to individuals with physical or intellectual disabilities
- Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication administration
- Promote independence and encourage individuals to participate in social and recreational activities
- Maintain accurate records of services provided and report any concerns or changes in behavior to supervisor
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Ensure the safety and well-being of individuals at all times

**Experience**:

- Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred
- Knowledge of person-centered care principles and practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- High level of reliability and dependability
