**GCMS Specialist**

**£28,000 - £38,000 depending on experience**

**Duties**:
The key function of this role is to provide skilled expertise in the analysis of complex mixtures and competitor products by:

- The provision of data to enable the characterisation of complex mixtures
- Developing instrumental and classical analytical methods
- Operating and interpreting GC/MS data
- Validating and documenting analytical methods
- Responsible for maintenance and upkeep of analytical equipment

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Experience of working within a Method Development role with responsibilities for leading investigations and projects.
- Someone with only a QC background unfortunately won’t be suitable for this role as analytical method development is the main function of this group
- Be able to demonstrable the capability of working with complex mixtures
- Possess excellent communication skills - including both written and oral (project presentations etc..)
- Be creative and have the ability to implement their own ideas in a practical industry setting

**Job Type**: Permanent

**Salary**: £28,000.00-£38,000.00 per year
