**We are currently looking for an Assistant Highways Engineer to join our team based in Brighton. **The position itself will include, but not be limited to**:

- To assist in the delivery of a range of highways engineering related projects on behalf of both public and private sector clients
- Respond to client and customer enquiries taking messages, when necessary and ensuring that their needs are met
- Managing projects in accordance with Client requirements to exceed their expectations
- Ensure all project files are up to date and comply with the QMS system
- Work closely with team members and other Project Centre Staff
- To assist the Engineer's and Senior Consultants with report writing and preparation
- Accredited Degree in Engineering (or equivalent)
- Knowledge and experience of Traffic or Highway Engineering Design and design standards
- Sound understanding of highways and traffic engineering techniques and principles and a track record in transport planning, design and/or delivery
- Working towards professional membership ICE/CIHT
- Self-motivated with good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Possess strong analytical ability and a solid understanding of traffic and transportation fundamentals and current design standards
- Able to communicate / liaise effectively and professionally with the design team, clients and contractors
- Expertise in traffic and highways related industry recognised software
- Expert CAD user
- Civils 3D user
