**Job Title: Purchasing / Buyer**
**Main Duties**:
- Contribute to the overall business strategy and annual budget process.
- Responsible for managing relationships and negotiating with key suppliers at a senior and strategic level.
- Support, implement, and maintain a supplier relationship and evaluation process to measure effective supplier performance and compliance.
- Support consistent supplier management and introduction.
- Work collaboratively, negotiate and engage with key stakeholders to facilitate delivery and compliance with the purchasing strategy.
- Communicate with stakeholders the impact of market change and potential effects on supply. Recommend solutions without compromising quality or service while optimising cost.
- Contribute to new business initiatives, projects, and review and communicate the impact on Purchasing and distribution activities.
- Support strategy and best practices to ensure achievement of overall business objectives.
- Work with the Purchasing Manager to achieve specific annual performance goals and departmental objectives including KPIs, Financial Budget and Control.
**Skills and Attributes**:
- Experience in a Purchasing/Procurement role with a proven record of delivering excellent supply change management, ideally with experience in a manufacturing production environment.
- Excellent negotiation skills and commercial awareness.
- A driven and motivated individual with a strong analytical mindset and a desire to progress.
- Ability to manage varying priorities and work to tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills.
- Persistent strength of character and able to challenge status quo, whilst working collaboratively with stakeholders.
- Expert at building collaborative relationships internal and external to ensure processes run smoothly and efficiently.
- Full driving licence.
- SAP Business One experience is preferable but not essential.
