**Description**:
Reporting to the Head of 3D for VFX, the Artist is responsible for animation needed on projects. The Animation could be anything from hard surfaces or creatures, CG previs/cameras. The levels of work cover blocking, rough animation, and final animation for the execution of high-level animation for use in final compositing is part of the daily work.
- Become a valuable member of the Animation team.
- The design and execution of high-level animation, technical skills, and artistic judgment are part of your daily work.
- A high degree of artistic judgment and familiarity with the technical workflow of animation in feature films.
- Artist serves as a key front-line representative of the company and frequently deals directly with clients in challenging situations.
- Managerial skills for providing support, both technical and otherwise for the Animation team as required.
- Professional demeanor and diplomacy are always important.
**Required Skills**:
- Work with CG software: any or all of Maya, Max, Blender, Massive, and Golem for visual effects intensive projects
- Working w/ Rigging, Groom, CharFX, Creatures to complete the needed animations
- Consult with clients and other artists on the team as required
- Attend projects on set to provide technical information as required
- Investigate and keep up to date on new and competing software packages and technology
- Other as needed duties as requested by the Head of 3D
- Ensure proper workflow methodology for the Animation team.
- Sometimes attend projects on set to provide technical guidance as required.

**Preferred Skills**:
- Prior company experience.
- Exceptional communication skills in dealing with both technical and artistic groups.
- Exceptional organization skills balancing multiple shows and tasks.
- Reliable, with good timekeeping and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Working knowledge of motion capture
- Experience troubleshooting pipeline issues.
**Qualifications**:
- Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role;
- Knowledge of Linux & thorough knowledge of Maya;
- Good understanding of physical motion, weight, balance, texture, and form; Demonstrated ability working with strict deadlines and under pressure;
- Ability to take direction and find creative solutions during the iterative process; Strong attention to detail;
**Education**:
- High School education or equivalent required.
- BA/BS in applicable field preferred.
**Location**:
Remote/Hybrid -Working for Copenhagen/UK locations.
