The Job:
We are delighted to be assisting this client with their requirement for a Key Client Relationship Manager. This role will join their Business Development & Marketing team working across their Property teams (including Planning, Construction, Property Litigationand Commercial Property) and market facing sectors such as Real Estate, Retail, House Builder, Banking and Energy Infrastructure.
You will support key property led sectors and you will work closely with the Real Estate Managing Directors, Sector Heads, Head of BD and BD Managers to support the growth of relationships with key clients. Their key clients operate in a number of sectorsincluding Retail, Banking, Housebuilding, Real Estate Investment & Development and Energy/Infrastructure. The property teams and sectors have grown successfully and there is an opportunity to develop relationships via these specialisms even more successfully.The opportunity is to broaden relationships with clients across a wider range of their expertise.
This role will be primarily based in Bristol however regular travel will be required to support client relationships nationwide (predominantly South and London).
Day to day responsibilities will include:
- You will be responsible for working closely with clients to understand their business, their needs and to develop supportive plans and initiatives that grow and enhance the relationships. This is a varied and engaging role; this is a fantastic opportunityfor an ambitious and hard-working person to work with an equally ambitious team of lawyers.
- Key client engagement and feedback
- The rolling 12 month relationship development plans;
- Working with BDM colleagues you will develop the property propositions - ensuring that the proposition (price, service offering, support etc.) remains ahead of the competition;
- Sales/fee income growth targets - Existing key clients - oversee management of detailed relationship plans with existing key clients. This requires active, ‘hands-on’ coordination of fee earner activity including arranging/coordinating client meetings,preparation of materials for meetings and follow up.
- You will develop plans to enhance key client relationships. You will work with colleagues in BD&M and Knowledge (and broader support teams e.g. IT where appropriate) to implement agreed relationship development plans.
- Coordination of internal relationship development meetings as well as producing management information and reports.
The Person:
For this opportunity our client is seeking someone with prior experience of client relationship experience (account management and ideally in a professional services setting but ideally managing a retail client or clients:
As well as this you will be a self-starter, confident in taking the lead with colleagues and clients at all levels whilst remaining highly organised.
You will have a proven track record in supporting growth of B2B client relationships.. It would be desirable if you had some understanding of law firms and how they service clients.
You will demonstrate strong communication and consultative collaboration skills and be familiar with working with senior business partners to deliver plans.
A ‘hands on’ approach to relationship management will be expected. As well as this you will be happy to work on your own initiative, comfortable developing personal relationships and adept at opening doors with both new and existing clients.
A positive and tenacious attitude is essential.
The Location:
Bristol (hybrid working) but also happy to consider this role in other others such as Southampton, Cardiff or Taunton
The Salary:
£30-32,000
