**Department of Fashion & Textiles**
The Department of Fashion & Textiles is the school’s largest department, offering design, leadership & strategy, and marketing education, at undergraduate, taught-postgraduate, and doctoral levels. The department supports one of the largest international student communities in Europe studying fashion leadership, management, and strategy programmes, whilst sustaining a long-held reputation for the nurturing of high-level design practice and craft-based skills. The department supports a diverse and inclusive research environment, with notable strengths in fashion & têxtiles and cultural history, critical luxury studies, sustainability, and e-têxtiles and materials innovation.
**About the role**
This role focuses on maintaining our growing national and international reputation in Fashion Leadership, including marketing, management, branding, and digital contexts, in this ever-evolving area. The role will focus on high quality education and research delivery that complement the school and university’s broader research and education strategy. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing school, that embraces education, research, and enterprise, focusing on the student experience, research-based curricular, as well as collaborations with industry partners.
**About You**
You will have experience of teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate level, as well being able to develop research activities in your discipline. A key aspect to this role is being able to work collaboratively with several stakeholders, both internal and external to the school, as well as contributing to research projects/proposals, involvement in curriculum development, and aligning your work to the university and school’s education and research strategies.
You’ll have a growing reputation in Fashion marketing and management, with interests in sustainability, research practice, research methodologies and overall fashion leadership across different sectors including the luxury sector. You’ll become a part of a dynamic group of academics that are leading the way in fashion leadership. Both relevant academic and industry experience is welcomed.
