Environmental Coordinator

Overview / Responsibilities:
Wood is currently recruiting for an Environmental Coordinator to support the HSSE&S function on a full time, staff basis.
The Environment Co-Ordinator is responsible for supporting the environmental regulatory and voluntary obligations of Wood, both at an operated assets and regional level. The post holder will also assist in the co-ordination of materials to support the annual Sustainability Report and co-ordinating aspects of the sustainability programme. The post holder will be part of the Operations Environment team, and will support with day-to-day tasks and projects, as well as other adhoc tasks to support the wider group Sustainability Team.
**Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities**:
- Maintaining Environmental Management System (EMS) compliance requirements.
- Identifying, understanding, and communicating the legal, industrial, and contractual environmental obligations placed on Wood to Duty Holder sites.
- Supporting the Advisory team with data collection and submissions - for the client and the regulator.
- Supporting with environmental inspections and audits where required.
- Assisting in the investigation of environmental incidents and subsequent monitoring to ensure any trends are identified and mitigated effectively.
- Supporting with client engagements and fulfilling client requests.
- Supporting the Environmental Manager with the EMEA Sustainability Plan Objectives.
- Assisting with the development of the Operations Sustainability Committee.
- Assisting with the Operational Sustainability Objectives, out with EMEA.
Skills / Qualifications:
**Knowledge, skills, and experience**:
- Baseline knowledge of onshore and offshore environmental legislation.
- Understanding of the UN sustainability goals.
- Excellent technical writing skills.
- Collating and interpreting environmental performance data.
- On-site practical knowledge and experience desirable.
- Exposure to environmental inspection and auditing also desirable
**Qualifications (desirable or in lieu of the above)**:
- Degree in an Environmental and/or Sustainability-related discipline
**Personal attributes**:
- Willing to travel internationally, where required.
- Excellent communication & literacy skills.
- Proficient in all aspects of MS Office.
- Highly developed influencing and interpersonal skills.
