If so, we want to hear from you...** **The opportunity**: As a kitchen assistant at Tamburino you will be responsible for aiding the smooth running of the kitchen by ensuring everything is prepared and clean for the chefs. Above all, you're committed to a catering career, keen to develop your skills and gain experience with the chance to progress within our award-winning organisation. - Desirable skills and attributes:_ - Ability to prepare and clear food service - Good oral communication - You may already have a good working knowledge of food hygiene and safety but we’ll also organise training for you - Attention to detail - Adaptability to change and willingness to embrace new ideas and processes - Time management - Positive and approachable manner - Initiative - Team player able to work with your colleagues to achieve a smooth daily service - Proactive - Key accountabilities:_ - Cleaning countertops, kitchen walls, stoves, ovens, grills and sinks - Making sure the kitchen is cleaned and ready for the next day - Maintaining organisation in the food storage areas such as freezers and refrigerators - Receiving deliveries and organising them in the kitchen - Washing cutlery, pots, cutting boards and pans or loading dishes into the dishwasher - Removing kitchen waste from waste containers and disposing of them properly - Supporting the chef in basic food preparation like cutting ingredients, peeling, and washing food items - Providing assistance to all the chefs and peers - Emptying bins, sweeping and mopping floors - Any other relevant duties directed by the chefs **Who are Tamburino?** Tamburino is a well-established, award-winning family of restaurants which all started with **TAMBURINO**, opened in Yeovil in February 2005 bringing the town a true taste of Italy with our wonderful traditional cuisine and vibrant atmosphere.
