This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an innovative service which is fundamentally changing the way in which primary care psychological treatments are provided in Havering IAPT service.
You will be part of a large multi-professional workforce that is significantly increasing access to treatment for people with depression, anxiety and other common mental health conditions, within a Primary Care setting.
The four IAPT services provide psychological therapy within the standards of the stepped care model i.e. Step 2 (Low intensity) and step 3 (High Intensity).
If you are an experienced Band 7 CBT Therapist and require more senior duties experience - this post could be a developmental role where you start at B7 and work your way up through the necessary senior CBT/HI competencies over a course of 12 months to achieve the B8a level.
NELFT is committed to the four IAPT services and the trust is seeking to employ motivated staff to contribute to the success of these services. We are looking to recruit a Senior High Intensity therapist to support our Havering IAPT service.
We are looking for applicants who have enthusiasm for working in a primary care setting, have experience of working in the NHS and managing teams, who are adaptable; enjoy variety, can work independently as well as understand the importance of team working.
Applicants should be either an Accredited High-Intensity CBT Therapist, Clinical / Counselling Psychologist with 3 years post qualification. The role involves providing assessments and CBT interventions (individual and group-based) to people with common mental health problems (i.e., depression, anxiety disorders), providing clinical supervision to High Intensity Practitioners working within the service and line managing staff.
Starting with NELFT
NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focussing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.
