Insight Employment are seeking a **Hygiene Operative** a client of ours in Milton Keynes.

**Job Purpose: -**

To ensure all planned and reactive hygiene tasks and deep cleaning schedules are completed on time whist meeting all legal and company requirements for employee health & safety and food safety.

**Key accountabilities: -**
- Ensure all bakery equipment is cleaned following the correct procedures and in line with site cleaning schedules and work instruction. Ensuring that all due diligence paperwork is completed correctly
- Ensure self, team and work area conform to health and safety legislation, policies and standards, reporting issues so that the site is healthy, safe and free from accidents
- Accurately record completion of relevant cleaning activities and ensure due diligence paperwork is completed correctly in accordance with company procedures. Responsible for reporting and recording incomplete tasks and duties, to ensure effective correctiveaction is managed for critical tasks
- To ensure compliance to quality legislation and company procedures, initiating actions as required to improve hygiene standards
- Follow all chemical COSHH protocols and job specific HACCP instruction, training, guidelines and briefings, including correct use of PPE
- Ensure effective segregation and correct disposal of out of spec product, waste and recyclable materials
- Flexible in the role and prepared to cover other tasks outside of the hygiene role such as supporting the Bakers / supporting the office cleaning / movement of stock / raw material management

**Knowledge & Skills: -**
- Knowledge of key equipment required for cleaning and clear understanding of the hygiene standards in the Bakery
- Health and safety within the workplace
- The client’s quality systems - adheres to quality standards as they relate to own role
- Chemical Awareness
- Knowledge and experience of food manufacturing plant and technology
- Communication skills - articulate, expresses views clearly and concisely/shares information in an open and helpful manner
- Strong attention details
- Positive attitude and highly motivated
- Works in a systematic and organised manner
- Prioritises and manages own workload to ensure tasks are delivered on time / within scheduled and makes improvements where required

**Hours and shifts: -**

4 days on, 4 days off 06:00-18:00

**Rate: -**

£9.20 per hour
