I am working exclusively with a well-established global insurance firm to support with the hire of a HR Operations Lead to join their closely-knit high-performing team whilst reporting into the Head of HR.
Our client are seeking support in their HR Operations team - this opportunity would see you manage 2 reports across the UK and play an integral role in the continual improvement initiative across HR Operations.
Responsibilities will include but aren’t limited to;
- Assist with the effective operations of the HR Department, providing support to the Head of HR and HR team.
- Provide operational HR advice and guidance to managers and employees on policies, processes, and procedures.
- Day to day management and development of the HR Operations team
- Work closely with other functions in the HR team to ensure a high quality, integrated HR Service is provided to the business.
- Act as a point of escalation on complex or difficult HR operational queries. Taking decisions to resolve issues as appropriate, referring to the Head of HR, as necessary.
- Ensure key deadlines are met such as HR and Payroll processing dates.
- Proactively review and as appropriate identify and make improvements to HR practices, processes, procedures, and templates. Ensuring that all documentation remains compliant and fit for purpose.
- Maintain accurate employee records on Workday.
- Provide HR operational administration regarding any contractual changes taking place across the business. - Act as a main point of contact for absence related Workday queries and update Workday to reflect absence changes. - Monitor sickness absence andSSP, liaising with payroll where applicable. - Act as a main point of contact for maternity and shared parental leave queries. Arrange meetings to provide advice and guidance on policies and procedures.

You will need a solid background in HR operations and enjoy focussing on this area as you will be the SME.
