This is an exciting opportunity to join a technically diverse team that manages our wastewater planning and investment requirements. You will work in a position that allows you good exposure to all levels within the business, providing you with the chance to interact with several key internal and external stakeholders.

This role involves planning the future of wastewater treatment assets in London. The system planning team identify risks carries out System Reviews, scopes up investigations and integrates those outputs into a System Plan that feeds current and future investment expenditure. We are focused on ensuring that our systems can perform as they need to, considering population growth, climate change, asset health and new regulatory obligations. We also look to improve the performance of our systems by reducing flood risk and minimising pollution incidents as well as improving the rivers that we discharge into.

**What you’ll be doing as a System Planner**
- Maintain regional-based System Plans that meet customer, stakeholder, regulator and strategic requirements.
- Build and maintain within the System Plan, a prioritised list of investment requirements using information gathered from environmental data, customer engagement/complaint data, asset performance data, modelling and other decision support tools.
- Represent your team at regular operational risk review meetings and regularly engage with the teams that manage the treatment and network assets. From these meetings, you will be expected to formulate concise investment requirements and promote them through the corporate governance process.
- Identify system capability as well as system risk and performance.
- Engage internal delivery partners to ensure upgrades to our assets meet our long-term requirements as well as short-term financial constraints.
- Contribute to the development of Drainage and Wastewater Management Plans (DWMPs) ensuring that site-specific investigative work is succulently briefed and appropriate constrained interventions are identified.
- Provide concise technical information in a style and language our customers and stakeholders can understand when responding to queries, correspondence from customers and Environmental Information Requests.

**What you should bring to the role**
- Excellent coordination skills as you will be managing multiple tasks at once.
- Previous experience and knowledge of wastewater process and/or network; the UK water industry and/or; utility intensive industries is desirable.
- Knowledge of asset management techniques and the regulatory landscape in which we operate.
- Good influencing and negotiation skills are desirable.
