We are proud to be an award winning Nursery and we are looking for a Nursery Apprentice who is passionate about providing excellent childcare for children at our brand new nursery called Dunton Park

As an apprentice you are encouraged to work as part of the nursery team to gain as much practical experience as possible throughout the duration of your course. You will be welcomed and encouraged to work alongside qualified staff.

You will have a mentor and be expected to have a number of key children as part of your training.

You will receive training either for a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early years and Childcare, depending on experience.

**Job Role**:

- To support qualified staff with daily routines in the nursery.
- To learn the skills of a nursery practitioner, (on the job), working practically as part of the team.
- To learn how to provide high quality childcare to our children.
- To show commitment to achieving the apprenticeship in the agreed timeframe.
- To work in partnership with your assessor.
- To ensure you attend all the training courses and staff meetings as required
- To complete and submit work to agreed timelines.
- To work and gain experience with all age groups.
- To understand the values and principles of the sector and implement in your daily routine with the children
- To follow the EYFS when caring for our children.
- To support and promote diversity and equality.
- To gain a good understanding of child development and how this is important when caring for children.
- To contribute/complete children’s observations and records when required.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £10,004.80 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Warwick Crescent, SS15 6JQ: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Education**:

- GCSE or equivalent (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Childcare: 1 year (preferred)

Shift availability:

- Day shift (preferred)
