Finance Business Partner

A Fantastic opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated CCAB Qualified Accountant to join our finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated finance professional looking to progress their career in the NHS.

You will be a self-motivated, pro-active individual with strong time management and organisational skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

To be successful in this role, you will have a proven track record of delivery and have professional credibility within senior management teams.

You will provide comprehensive financial partnering role to the Business Units including support around budget setting, reporting, cost improvement programme, business case development as well as providing value through financial advice and challenge.
- To provide complex, contentious information, financial and non-financial advice and support to the services including Clinical and Corporate areas.
- Produce monthly financial reporting packs which set out clearly performance in all aspects of finance, activity and contractual targets delivery, ensuring a clear story of outcomes and causal factors is provided. Take lead role in ensure that actions required to improve financial performance are identified, articulated and bought into by corporate/ operational management
- Provide expert critical analytical support and specialist business knowledge in the contracting and business planning processes.

- To provide the key link between the finance function and business units and ensure that the requirements and policies of the finance function are fully reflected into the workings of operational areas.
- To timely provide a range of complex reports to the to the business units, including information to inform the Board level reports including Trust wide CIPP reporting.
- Working independently and as the service line/business unit senior point of contact provide a full range of expert financial advice to the management team.
- Co-ordinate the financial planning across multiple business units, advising of trends and changes and adjusting the plans accordingly.
- Analyses highly complex financial information in relation to income and expenditure; provides analysis and interpretation of variances to plan; comparing multiple scenarios and forecasting future movement
- Produce monthly financial reporting packs which set out clearly performance in all aspects of finance, activity and contractual targets delivery, ensuring a clear story of outcomes and causal factors is provided. Take lead role in ensure that actions required to improve financial performance are identified, articulated and bought into by corporate/ operational management
- In-depth analysis, interpretation and production of complex and multiple reports including financial returns.
