EP Industries Ltd is looking for an Industrial Spray Painter to join the team in Alfreton, Derbyshire to paint rail & construction equipment.
- To prepare & paint / spray, plant and equipment as required to fulfil customer demand. Experience in the preparation & spraying of Rail, Construction machines and components General duties on site and within the workshops when required when preservation workloads permit._
**Essential Skills / Experience**:
- At least 5 years’ experience in painting rail and construction plant / equipment.
- Must be able to show a history of preparing plant for respraying.
- Have a good eye for colour matching.
- Willingness to work as a team when required.
- Certified First Aider at work.
- The ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail.
- Good hand-to-eye coordination.
- The ability to follow written instructions and keep records.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to all health and safety guidelines at all times. Responsibilities:
- Setting up painting equipment
- Sanding down and preparing the bodywork
- Selecting, matching and mixing colours
- Carrying out quality checks
- Cleaning and maintaining equipment and workshop areas
- A lot of time is spent preparing surfaces. Primer needs to be applied along with the main and finishing coats of paint.
- An important part of the paint sprayer role is maintenance of spraying equipment and the correct storage of paints.
- The job may also involve inventory management and ordering paints and equipment
- General duties on site and within the workshops
Salary commensurate with experience.
Death In service non-contributory scheme benefit.
**Salary**: £15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 39 - 47 per week
