We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-oriented Service Advisor to join our client’s team (Main car dealer) in Cardiff. As a Service Advisor, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our service department. Your role will involve assisting customers with their vehicle service needs, providing accurate estimates, and upselling additional services when appropriate.
Salary up to £27k basic plus bonus and overtime (£35k OTE)
**Responsibilities**:
- Greet customers and assist them with their service needs
- Listen to customer concerns and accurately document them
- Conduct vehicle inspections and provide detailed explanations of necessary repairs
- Provide accurate estimates for labor and parts
- Schedule appointments and manage the service department's calendar
- Communicate with technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs
- Keep customers informed of the status of their vehicle throughout the repair process
- Handle cash transactions, including processing payments and providing change
- Upsell additional services or maintenance packages to customers when appropriate
**Experience**:
- Previous experience in a customer service role is required
- Mechanical knowledge or experience working in an automotive environment is preferred
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent problem-solving abilities
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately
- Proficient computer skills
