**Claims Administrator (One Year Fixed Term Contract)**

Essential Personnel are delighted to be working with an exciting organisation, based in **Cheadle** who are seeking a **Claims Administrator** to join their team on a **hybrid** basis. This is a great opportunity for you to make an impact from day one and progress your career.

As a claims administrator you will be responsible for assisting the Claims Team in the processing and administration of Income Protection and Bereavement Claims. As well as assisting in the administration of claims complaints.

Claims experience is not essential, but great administration skills, fantastic organisation and excellent telephone manner are all vital.

**Main Responsibilities**:

- To be able to interpret decisions made by the claim handlers and issue the appropriate correspondence to the stakeholders involved.
- To be able to prioritise workload as the situation demands to maintain agreed service levels.
- To be able to correctly record all claims MI within the established spread sheets.
- To increase medical knowledge and knowledge of income protection, disability and bereavement within the marketplace.
- First point of contact with third party complaints company - providing relevant investigation packs and associated documentation to support in the timely resolution of regulatory complaints.
- Escalation of any concerns around claims complaints to relevant stakeholders in a timely manner.
- To identify any material risks that occur in the claims function. These should be entered onto the Risk Database and appropriately monitored and reviewed
- Requesting medical evidence via MSS (external claims partner).
- To assist with the processing of payments, both Bereavement and Income Protection. This may include sending monthly letters on Income Protection claims.

Working hours are **Monday - Thursday 9am-5pm, Friday 9am-4pm**. Salary up to **£28,000 **dependant on experience.

**Hybrid** model - 3 days in the office, 2 days at home. During probation and onboarding, office based for 5 days a week.

**Holiday entitlement**: 25 days plus birthday off.
