**The Role**

The Team Leader role is integral to the efficient operation of the department, with a direct reporting line to the Team Managers. As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for delegating tasks and providing mentorship to all colleagues within your department, while also setting clear expectations for workflow coordinators, senior and support.

Your primary objective will be to ensure that all daily tasks are carried out with maximum efficiency. Additionally, you will be expected to possess in-depth knowledge of dispatcher functions within your area of responsibility.

In addition to your leadership and mentorship responsibilities, you will be expected to actively engage with staff by working alongside them during peak periods. This hands-on approach will not only promote an engaging atmosphere but also provide direct support to your team when they most need it.

**What will you do?**
- Allocate and supervise daily tasks
- Monitor the quality of work that our operatives carry out and manage their performance.
- Motivate and encourage the team
- Provide admin support where needed
- Help support the management team with any queries
- Support with HR functions such as record of informal discussions and return to works in a fair and consistent way
- Be responsible for the site's cleanliness
- Keep track of your team's performance and identify people for upskilling opportunities
- To lead a team of warehouse operatives in order to achieve the warehouse targets and KPIs set in a safe and efficient manner. Gain an understanding of budgets and KPI's.
- To maintain stock integrity at all times through investigating stock adjustments and suspense.
- To investigate short shipped stock or at risk of being short shipped
- Ensure you have the correct colleagues in the correct places to ensure all bases are covered.
