ASSEMBLY OPERATOR

HBS Electronics - ALTON, HAMPSHIRE

40 HOURS PER WEEK - MONDAY - FRIDAY - 08.30 - 17.00 (1/2 HR LUNCH)

You will be responsible for:

- Assemble electronic components, printed circuit boards (PCBs), and wiring systems according to technical drawings, and work instructions.
- Perform quality checks and functional tests on completed assemblies to verify performance and adherence to specifications.
- Identify and troubleshoot assembly issues, making necessary adjustments or repairs as needed.
- Work with hand tools and automated machinery for electronic assembly.
- Collaborate with engineers to improve assembly processes and suggest enhancements for efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with safety and industry standards in all assembly operations.

JOB PURPOSE:
To participate in the production of company manufactured assembly and testing of oxygen breathing equipment and ground support equipment.

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

- To build, test and release equipment to approved standards
- Communicate closely with Production manager and Supervisor regarding all project work and related matters
- Ensure that products produced are to the specifications required
- Assist with other projects / duties as determined by the Production Manager
- Responsible for adhering to health and safety rules and procedures
- Conducting assigned tasks in a controlled and safe manner, paying particular respect to colleagues and equipment
- Present a positive attitude at all times, with a resilient, adaptable approach to problems

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, at all levels
- Computer literate with numerical and literacy skills

SALARY

£25K

Dependent on skills and experience

Pay: £25,750.00 per year
