**Driver**

Reporting to the Community Support Manager/Managing Director you will contribute towards the smooth running of our new mobile advice project.

Your role will be to drive our newly refurbished advice vehicle. You will drive our Support on the Move vehicle to set locations on a fortnightly schedule across the villages and rural locations of Horsham.

You will be accompanied by a member of our team who will be providing advice to residents on the vehicle.

**Core Duties**
- Drive Horsham Matters Vehicles
- Follow all driver requirements including noting mileage, monitor fuel use and reporting defects to the management team
- Setting the vehicle up when you reach your destinations including the ramp, starlink and canopy
- Packing away the vehicle at the end of the session, ensuring that all items are stowed safely for the onward journey
- Welcome and greet members of the public, offer drinks whilst residents are waiting to have a more detailed conversation with our advice worker
- Ensuring that the vehicle is left clean and tidy at the end of the session
- Fuel the vehicle in readiness for the next session

**Additional Duties**
- You may be required from time to time to drive our mobile foodbank; Hub on the Move, supporting our clients to access food provision

**Person Specification**

**Experience**

**Desirable**
- Experience of driving a van
- Experience of working in the charity sector
- Experience of customer service roles

**Key Skills**

Confident to drive a 3.5t box van vehicle.

Able to work constructively as a member of a team

Able to work under pressure

**Personal attributes**

**The role is deployed over to deliver a fortnightly schedule for our mobile advice provision. Minimum hours will be 11 per fortnight, likely to increase to 16 hours per fortnight once our advice project is rolled out further. Potential also to cover our mobile foodbank hub from time to time.**

**The successful applicant must have a valid clean driving licence.**

**Job Types**: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: £12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 11 - 16 per week
