This is an exciting opportunity for excellent people who are passionate about creating positive changes for people described as experiencing ‘Complex Emotional Needs’. We are a warm and supportive multidisciplinary team to serving Gloucestershire as we create a range of innovations to improve a care pathway.
The role will involve shaping and supporting a wide variety of agencies to feel confident and supported when working with complexity. There will be opportunities to support other agencies to improve their awareness and understanding of the issues underpinning emotional and relational difficulties and to provide some direct support to groups and individuals accessing our community services. Our Psychology Assistant will have a key role in research and evaluation of the service and it’s innovations, working alongside the Lead Psychologist.

- A key role in research and service evaluation.
- Providing guidance, consultation, signposting and support to a wide range of agencies attending to people presenting with complex emotional needs.
- Working closely with experts by lived experience to co-produce new initiatives within the community.
- Providing a variety of learning opportunities to varied groups and individuals to support trauma informed approaches and psychologically informed environments.
- Working alongside lived experience practitioners to create individualised person centred response plans to guide emergency services when responding to crisis situations for people identified as frequently engaging with blue light services.
This post requires the post holder to be able to undertake all statutory and mandatory training and post holders must be able to undertake physical interventions. Fitness for physical intervention will be assessed by Occupational Health.
A valid UK driving licence plus the use of own transport for business purposes is essential. For qualifying staff the Trust has a Lease Car Scheme in place and also offers a popular Salary Sacrifice Car Scheme with our partner Tusker.
