Applications are invited for this full-time post in Research and Enterprise Services (R&E). This post will sit within the Brighton and Sussex Joint Clinical Research Office (JCRO), which represents a key function within R&E, providing expertise and support for clinical research.

The JCRO is a joint initiative supported by four partner organisations - the University of Brighton, the University of Sussex, the Sussex Partnership Foundation Trust, and the Brighton and Sussex Universities Hospital Trust (the partner organisations). The primary objective of the JCRO is to enable researchers and R&D support systems across the partner organisations to navigate the clinical research pathway more effectively, driving up the volume, value and quality of research submissions, and supporting speedy and effective study set-up.

This role will provide essential administrative support of the Joint Clinical Research Office, specifically supporting the Head of the JCRO and the Research Managers in managing a portfolio of clinical studies. The role will involve the use of systems to log and track projects, organising meetings, note-taking, and managing and updating various JCRO communications and on-line resources.

The post-holder is line-managed by the Head of the JCRO.

We are looking for a well-organised, self-motivated, and reliable individual with excellent administrative and communication skills to assist in the set-up and running of the JCRO. You should be interested in interacting with a wide range of personnel, and have a positive, customer-friendly approach in doing so. Previous experience in administration / working in an office environment is essential.
