We are looking for well-motivated, enthusiastic HCPC registered BMS to join our team.

However the department will consider trainee BMS for this post as follows.

Unregistered individuals with an IBMS accredited BMS degree will be employed as a Trainee band 5 BMS using Annex 21 (formally Annex U - at 75%)

The department offers one of the largest Clinical Chemistry and Immunology repertoires in the UK, currently receiving over 3,500 samples each day and has fully automated analytical equipment. Specialist assays are offered on both a regional and supra-regional basis for special proteins, steroid and protein hormones, porphyrins, trace metals, molecular diagnostics, metabolic assays and Immunology tests.

The department actively encourages participation in CPD to develop skills that will assist you in the pursuit of your career ambitions

To provide, in a professional manner, quality analysis of biochemistry tests for patients of the Cardiff and Vale University Health Board, Cardiff and Vale Local Health Boards, and for tertiary referral samples from other UK laboratories sent for specialist investigations.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
