**What is the role?**
Brendoncare are looking for a Public Relations Executive who is responsible for identifying content and maximising all PR and print advertising opportunities with the media (PR, advertorial and advertising) across Brendoncare’s service portfolio.
The role aims to promote the charity’s reputation across all its stakeholders to support care home occupancy, membership, volunteer recruitment to attract supporters.
**What will I be doing?**:
- Proactively source, write and distribute press releases covering all Brendoncare’s services.
- Develop relationships with the media and be the main point of contact for all press and media enquiries.
- Handle any proactive and reactive crisis communications, briefing key spokespeople as appropriate.
- Ensure all PR content on our website is digitally optimised and re-purposed as appropriate, such as used in Blog articles, newsletters and shared on social media.
- Work closely with the Digital and Content Executive so that any campaigns are integrated across channels, supporting the monitoring of these channels as needed.
- Identify our different audiences, which platforms and publications they prefer.
- Develop messages that align to corporate and campaign objectives and are relevant different stakeholders (potential care home or mews residents, volunteers, community club members, volunteers, donors).
- Develop excellent working relationships with key staff in the care homes, community membership team, housing services, fundraising and recruitment in order to be able to extract relevant and engaging stories and showcase the services and staff.
- Manage the production of print advertising, advertorials and case studies.
- Measure and report on the impact of all PR activity through the monitoring of our press cuttings services, sharing internally as appropriate.
- Liaise with designers and other suppliers, ensuring work is done on time, to budget and according to brand guidelines.
- Provide guidance on communications and the Brendoncare brand to colleagues and volunteers and promote best practice at all times.
- Support and contribute to corporate communications and campaign activity, both internally and externally.
- Shoot, edit and optimise promotional videos, photos and coordinate professional photo shoots when needed, ensuring all imagery is fully consented in line with Brendoncare policy.
- Be willing to cover and support the rest of the team as needed.
