**Schedule**: _Full time, permanent_
- 39 hours per week.
- Monday - Friday

**What are we looking for in you?**

To manage the smooth flow of goods from supplier deliveries physically into the store carrying out all physical and administrative checks to ensure that stock is accurately booked in. Be alert to the possibilities of pilferage and at all times observing Health and Safety considerations.

**Key Responsibilities include**:

- Ensure that the security of stock and staff is maintained at all times.
- Supervise the maintenance of the forklift trucks and pallet trucks, reporting any defects to the Assistant Branch Manager/Floor Controller.
- Keep good stocks of shrink wrap, compactor bags, banding and clips, and other essential supplies.
- Supervise the maintenance and use of compactors and Balers, at all times observing health and safety requirements in the use of these machines.
- Arrange for the collection of the skip on a regular basis and control the waste disposal effectively. Keep the areas around the branch tidy at all times.
- Be competent in the administration of internal orders for both placing and receiving at all times liaising with the Purchase Manager.
- Inform the Section Manager of deliveries that are ready to be collected from the Goods In area.
- Enforce company procedures regarding attendance, uniform, behaviour, policies etc. in the absence of the Manager.
- Communicate with Assistant Branch Manager/Floor Controller on a daily basis to ensure smooth running of the business.
- Ensure the daily and weekly Health and Safety checks are completed on time and the relevant documents are filled in correctly and in full. Ensure Health and Safety is followed at all times and report accidents to the Health and Safety Officer.
- Goods In must be kept clean and tidy at all times. Ensure all cleaning duties are carried out daily and monitored on a regular basis. Ensure all staff know how to deal with spillages that require the COSHH trolley/Wet floor sign.
