Payment and Billing Officer

Overview:
Harrow Council are seeking a Payment and Billing Officer to join part of their Adult Social Care Divison. The post holder is responsible for payments and undertaking any action as instructed to cease/suspend to prevent over payments being made by liaising with service users to investigate and resolve billing enquires and issues. In addition, the post holder will make recommendations regarding the financial monitoring and payments processes and procedures.
About you:
- A minimum of GCSE maths and English or equivalent.
- Previous financial training.
- knowledge and understanding of services provided by either local authority social services departments, health authorities, or the voluntary sector.
- Experience of financial control and accounts payable processes.
- Experience of dealing with personalisation and paying personal budgets.
- Experience of resolving complex financial problems.
