We are currently looking to fill an exciting new position in store, to aide the current team as we expand and elevate the GUESS brand here in Ashford.
In 1981, GUESS sold its very first pair of jeans to Bloomingdale's department store. Since then, GUESS has grown, becoming one of todays most recognised and influential fashion brands in the world. The continued dedication and commitment of our employees is the driving force of GUESS.
As the Ashford store Stock Controller you would be responsible for receiving, unpacking and preparing merchandise for the shop floor. You would maintain control of the organization, maintenance and cleanliness of the stock room. Your main working days would be our delivery days, ensuring this is processed correctly and quickly. You would need to be able to work efficiently with the Store Manager and store VM, to ensure that any new product is identified and prepared for the shop floor. You would be accountable for our stock and inventory control, and would hold a leading role in the preparation and execution of our yearly stock takes.
We therefore would be looking for someone that has had experience in a similar role already. This would be a part time, fully flexible position.
- Ensures that the stock room is organized and clean enabling merchandise to be ready to go on the shop floor at any given time
- Monitor all deliveries including uploading all onto the store’s system within the required time frame
- Execution of alltransfers, including IBT’s, RVT’s, faulty goods, End of Seasons
- Investigate and report all discrepancies to minimise stock loss and negatives
- Record and communicates stock levels, slow sellers and best sellers to store’s team
- Plan and completes checks prior to stock take
- Carry out stock take
- Communicate effectively to senior stock controllers
- Sensor, steam, fold and hang merchandise as and when required
- Bring new deliveries to shop floor
- Work according to given deadlines
- **Assume and complete additional duties as assigned by the store manager including customer service and selling from the shop floor**
**Additional duties and responsibilities**
- Participating in and attending all required store meetings and other related functions
- Performing housekeeping and maintenance duties as required
- Being available to travel and work from different locations when necessary
- Maintaining standards in line with the requirements of the job and any policies currently in place
- Assuming and completing other duties as assigned by management
- Working any additional hours as to the requirements of the job
- Adhering to procedures relating to the proper use and care of equipment and materials for which the role has responsibility
**General Requirements**
- Completing all duties on time and in a satisfactory manner as assigned by management
- Adhering to designated work schedule in a punctual manner
- Working effectively with colleagues and management to accomplish duties and goals
- Maintaining a clean, neat and presentable appearance at all times and adhering to the Guess dress code
- Representing a positive attitude toward the merchandise and the company
- Adhering to Guess dress code
- Abiding by the 6 Guess Rules
- Adhering to the rules and guidelines as expressed in the company hand book
