**About The Service**
Cardiff Parenting 0-18 is part of Cardiff Council’s Early Help Services, available to all families living across Cardiff with a child or young person under 18. Cardiff Parenting 0-18 is grant funded by Welsh Government and complements the parenting services offered in Flying Start areas of Cardiff. Within Cardiff Parenting 0-18, both group programmes and individual programmes are available. Collectively, the Parenting Services are led by a Senior Educational Psychologist.

The Parenting Groups Manager (Cardiff Parenting 0-18) manages a team of practitioners who deliver group parenting programmes and manual led 1:1 programmes across Cardiff.

We have office bases across Cardiff.

**About the job**
We are seeking to appoint an Area Team Leader who will be responsible for leading an area team of Senior Parenting Practitioners, Parenting Practitioners and Creche Assistants within a geographical area of Cardiff.

The Parenting Area Team Leader will:

- Be responsible for the effective coordination and delivery of a menu of Parenting Programmes for Families across Cardiff.
- Deploy, manage, mentor and train teams to ensure programmes are delivered effectively with a focus on quality and fidelity.

**What We Are Looking For From You**
- Professional qualification at Level 5 or above with evidence of the following:

- Leadership within a role
- Work with families, children and young people
- Proven experience of delivering Parenting Programmes/intervention
- Proven experience of working with Parents/carers and their children (pre-birth to 18 years)
- Proven experience of undertaking a management and supervision role
- Proven experience of monitoring and evaluating service provision.
- Proven experience of training and mentoring staff
- Proven experience of multi-agency working
- Proven experience in the delivery and development of a programme that engages children, young people and their families to effect change
