**Platform Care Services is a supported living provider for vulnerable adults.**
We are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible and experienced Support Workers to be part of our management team, to lead our team of support workers within the setting, as well as providing a high standard of supporting for our adults. Office and administratiive support is required for this role. Our company is expanding and this role would suit a innovative and organised team player.
**Key Responsibilities**
- To provide the highest level of support and attention to service users, monitoring and completing individual support planning for all service users.
- To support the Service Manager with on-call duties and cover of support where necessary.
- To act as the person in charge of the home and the Safeguarding lead in the absence of the manager ensuring that legislation is adhered to and high standards of support are maintained, including observation of staff performance.
- To manage and maintain high levels of administration duties throughout the service including monitoring of daily logs,support planning, incident reporting and risk assessments.
- To promote our service and establish good networks with local authorities and other organisations to manage new referrals, including providing information, presentations, professionals meetings and assessments. To ensure any vacancies within the home are filled and an adequate capacity of service users within the home.
- Responsible for; understanding and complying with statutory and legal requirements that are relevant, including Health & Safety, COSHH and all aspects of the Health & Social Care Act to ensure that all support staff maintain a safe environment throughout the homes.
- To always be alert to service users’ physical and mental wellbeing, immediately dealing with and reporting any changes in a services user’s condition. Liaising with other care professionals as required, and ensuring that all records are updated accurately.
- Undertaking general cleaning duties throughout the homes as needed.
- To be an active and encouraging senior member of the support team, responsible for running team meetings, ensuring good communication and leading the induction and training of newly appointed support staff.
- To have a flexible working approach on a 24/7 basis for on-call requirements.
**Person Specification**
- Minimum of 3 years working in a support/care environment
- High standard of IT skills including Microsoft programmes Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- A good understanding of budgeting and use of cost-effective procurement.
- A warm and friendly disposition
- A strong team player
- Strong communication skills, able to put others at ease
- Supervisory/leadership skills
- Willing to develop management skills
- Flexible, Reliable, and punctual
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
**Salary**: Up to £13.00 per hour
