Senior Clinical Fellow in Gastroenterology
The position of Senior Clinical Fellow in Gastroenterology is designed to support the Gastroenterology Service at Barnet and Chase Farm Hospitals as well as the opportunity to acquire further specialist endoscopy training and academic skills. The post-holder will also be supporting with ward cover for the Gastroenterology Ward at Barnet Hospital. The post-holder will work alongside consultant gastroenterologists and GI surgeons and will be responsible to the Gastroenterology Lead.
This is a 12-month fixed term post designed for supporting the Gastroenterology service as well as learning Endoscopy skills. The post-holder would also be required to take part in audit, 2-3 clinics weekly and support of any suitable endoscopy lists in support of the service. The post holder will be involved in new service developments such as Trans nasal endoscopy (TNE) and bowel cancer screening (BCSP).

CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Participation in gastroenterology outpatient clinics
Attendance at weekly MDTs.
Opportunities to participate in clinical aspects of basic and translational research.
Opportunities for supervised endoscopy lists
May be required to cross-cover endoscopy and clinics in exceptional situations
No on-call requirement.
