**Role: Speech and Language Therapy Assistant**

**Term time only Three days per week**

**Location: Crewe Salary: £14 per hour**

Chatty Therapy is looking to recruit a Speech and Language Therapy Assistant to join our team. We are a growing company who provide speech and language services and products to schools in the North West.

As a Speech and Language Therapy Assistant you will work with a regular caseload of children in a school in the Crewe area. You will play a vital role on a 1:1 or small group basis in developing the speech, language and communication skills of a caseload of children under the expert guidance and support of a highly experienced Speech and Language Therapist.

Your role will include:

- Following a programme designed by a Speech and Language Therapist
- Monitoring a child’s progress against targets and goals
- Liaising closely with a Speech and Language Therapist
- Liaising with school staff and parents where appropriate
- Helping to create an inclusive learning environment for students
- Preparing materials and resources for students and sessions
- Collaborating with school TA’s and teaching staff to ensure the best outcomes for pupils
- Accessing training which will support and develop your skills
- Experience working as a TA in primary school settings
- Experience working with children with speech, language and communication needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A positive attitude and a willingness to go above and beyond to support students
- Patience and understanding of student’s needs
- Willingness to work with children with different special educational needs and disabilities including social, emotional and mental health needs
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail
- Enjoy using technology tools for intervention
