BTP is the national police Force for the rail network throughout Great Britain, including London Underground, across which we ensure the safety and security of nearly 3 billion passenger journeys and over 100 million tons of freight every year. The world in which we work is fast-paced, operationally and commercially demanding, and constantly changing. As an **Event Planner **with BTP you will provide a corporate, high quality standard of planning and coordination for football and Level 2 events affecting BTP, including providing advice and support to and liaison with nominated event Commanders and promoting corporate standards for event planning across the Force. In addition to this, provide real-time support to the event/incident Senior Command team in both a planned and unplanned environment as required.
As **Event Planner **you** **will be required to:
- ** Prepare and co-ordinate plans, operational Orders and associated documentation for all events.**:
- ** Ensure contingencies are built in to support operational plans produced by event commanders and that record-keeping and auditing protocols are adhered to.**:
- ** Build and maintain strong, collaborative working relationships with Train Operating Companies (TOCs), Network Rail and other railway industry businesses on behalf of your divisional area.**:
- ** Advise the central Force Resource Planning unit of required resource allocations to events following thorough site reviews, stakeholder engagement, risk assessments and review of relevant intelligence in collaboration with the Event Planning and Strategic Oversight Unit (EPSOU).**:
- ** Ensure there is a meeting structure in place during the planning process and that the relevant parties are invited to the meetings, including the Event Commander, relevant Bronze commanders and where necessary industry partners and stakeholders.**:
- ** Provide real time support to Gold/Silver/Bronze Commanders for events and incidents as necessary.**

- ** Outstanding planning and prioritisation skills whilst exercising a high level of personal integrity and discretion.**:
- ** Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy whilst working at speed, under pressure and to tight timescales.**:
- ** An ability to identify opportunities and consider appropriate contingencies to support the decision-making and actions of event commanders.**:
- ** A good working knowledge of event planning in policing with sound knowledge of relevant legislation and policy, which needs to be reviewed and considered before events take place.**:
- ** Strong interpersonal skills allowing you to build and maintain working relationships with a diverse range of key stakeholders.**:
- ** Educated to minimum A level standard (or equivalent in a relevant discipline).**

- Salary of **£27,824.32 per annum**:
