**Position - DOMESTIC STAFF - 22HRS**_
- **Applicant will be required to work Monday - Friday and every other Weekend.**_
- **Responsible to - THE MANAGER**_

**Job Summary**

Ensuring that the cleanliness of all areas in the Home, be it living, dining, sleeping, staff or other, is of a high standard which compiles with the requirements laid down by the Environmental Health Department.

To work on a 7 day a week rota.

**General Duties**

1. Use the correct cleaning materials in the correct quantities (as stated by the COSHH requirements) to clean all areas in the Home.

2. Ensure COSHH and safety notices are in place and followed.

3. Ensure relevant documents/checklists are completed on a daily basis.

4. Have due regard to the resident and/or staff whilst using cleaning equipment

At all times you must respect a residents right to privacy, peace and tranquillity. Equally, you must not interfere in any care procedures which may be in operation.

5. Ensure that all cleaning equipment is kept clean, well maintained and stored properly ready for use.

6. Maintain awareness of the company's Fire Safety regulations and procedures.

7. Be aware of the Health and Safety at Work policy. Report hazards identified immediately and place appropriate warning notices in position.

8. Maintain a standard of dress and personal hygiene in line with company policy, having regard to the public image of the company.

9. Maintain total confidentiality at all times.

To fully protect staff and service users in our care home group from the risks associated with the coronavirus pandemic our care homes will comply fully with the Covid-19 vaccination programme for the UK. Any new recruits must either have both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine by the 11th November 2021 or a medical exemption certificate refusal to comply will result in no employment process taking place.
