**About the role**

As a Senior Resource Planner, you will be responsible for managing and optimising resource allocation to ensure seamless rail operations. You will play a pivotal role in balancing efficiency, compliance, and employee satisfaction, contributing to the smooth running of services.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated person able to work on his or her own initiative or as part of a team.

You will be working closely with the Resource Delivery Managers East leading and directing the Resource Planners to produce and distribute traincrew rosters in a timely manner.

Undertake staff engagement, training and briefing.

**About you**
You will also compile traincrew weekly and daily availability reports, produce resource forecasts, review feedback from areas and implement corrective action where necessary, carry out Irma maintenance, including link changes and route and traction alterations and manage and distribute diagrams through CDS, undertake the role of Performance Champion for the Resources Planning team, identifying and resolving problems affecting the reliability and performance of the train service caused by traincrew rostering issues.

If you are a well organised, systematic person able to cope with a number of simultaneous tasks and fancy a challenge, this could be the role for you. Knowledge of rostering agreements is an advantage.
- Develop and maintain robust resource plans, ensuring optimal staff coverage across all rail operations.
- Analyze workforce requirements to meet operational and regulatory demands.
- Collaborate with operations managers, HR, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment between resource plans and business needs.
- Monitor and manage resource challenges, including absences, emergencies, and service disruptions.
- Continuously review and improve resource planning systems and processes.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
