**Kitchen Assistant**

At Black Swan Care Group, we are currently looking for a kitchen assistant to work in one of our residential care facilities, Potton View on a part time, 15 hour permanent contract, £12.00 per hour.

Potton View is our residential care home based in Gamlingay on the Cambridgeshire border with Hertfordshire. The home can accommodate up to 31 residents with all rooms situated on one level, making the home fully accessible and mobility friendly.

**The working hours are 09:30am-14:30pm, 3 days a week.**

**Responsibilities of a Kitchen Assistant**:

- Assist the Cook with unloading fresh supplies and organising the stockroom. Checking sell-by dates and rotating food stock. Reviewing kitchen inventory and determining what items are needed.
- Assist the Cook when required with washing, peeling, and preparing food ingredients and using equipment such as mixers, special knives and cutters.
- Cleaning kitchen appliances, ovens, dishes and pans and observing cooking times and correct temperatures.. (completing daily cleaning schedules/ documenting items cleaned)
- Assist in the preparation of meals, light snacks and drink in line with IDDSI requirements as needed (Full training provided)
