Labourer/slinger

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Commercial Marine business for the key role of Slinger/Labourer based at our Dalgety Bay site in Dunfermline.
**Key accountabilities**
- Responsible for all lifting equipment on site ensuring any defects are dealt with and register is maintained
- Responsibility for loading and unloading of vehicles in a safe manner and in accordance with lift plans
- Take the lead in ensuring lift plans are in place for all complex lifts
- Working with the engineering team, providing the necessary information for creation of lift plans
- Providing guidance to workshop employees whilst doing heavy and complex lifts
- General labouring and housekeeping activities
- Waste management including the emptying of swarf skips etc
**The applicant**
- A keen learner and self-motivated
- Ability to understand the importance of good work ethic
- Good interpersonal, communication, Numeracy and IT skills
- An aptitude for problem solving
- Ability to work as a team member in a busy environment
**Qualifications and experience**
- Valid recognised qualification in advanced lifting & Slinging
- Valid counterbalance Forklift license (5 Ton)
- Working at height training would be an advantage
- Minimum 5 years work experience in a heavy engineering environment undertaking complex lifts
- Valid EU Passport or other current permission to work in the UK
