Role: Senior Design Engineer

Location: Halifax

Salary Range: £40,000 - £60,000

Are you a Senior Design Engineer with experience of designing mechanical rotating machinery; both new build design and designing repairs and re-works? Do you enjoy undertaking responsibility for project delivery - from interaction on the shop floor throughto customer facing delivery? On behalf of a renowned, UK headquartered, market leading heavy engineering business I’m searching for a Senior Design Engineer due to an impending retirement. The business has been trading for around 160 years in various guises and has over 1200 staff membersworldwide working across over 25 global sites. There are manufacturing facilities on every continent. The company focuses on industrial rotating equipment and drive units supplying every major sector.

You’ll ideally hold a formal qualification in Mechanical Engineering, although a demonstrable track record in the field is of more relevance. In addition to your design experience, you’ll be comfortable communicating with both clients and colleagues, fromdirector level to shop floor and you’ll demonstrate an appreciation of materials selection, defects, resolutions, non-conformity. You’ll be a problem solver with some experience of delivering mid-to-large scale projects.

You’ll be joining a company who pride themselves on the development of their people, with many staff having served the business for upwards of 10 years.
