I started out in the motor trade straight from school, working at a Vauxhall dealership. In 2010, I launched a small independent garage in Lincoln called Vauxalist - just me, one ramp, and a clear goal: to build an automotive group that puts people first, delivers exceptional service, and never stops evolving.

That one-man band has grown into the Dack Group, now operating across Lincoln, Northampton, Solihull, and Coventry, with 80+ people working across:

- A Vehicle Bodyshop
- A Ford Service Centre & Used Car Dealership
- Coachbuild & Van Conversions
- New & Used Van Sales
- Van Rental

These departments operate across our group brands:

**About Us**

At Central Garage Ford, part of the Dack Group, we’re proud of our reputation for excellent customer service and a strong sense of teamwork. We’re a growing business with multiple sites, but we still keep that family feel — where everyone’s contribution makes a real difference.

We’re looking for a friendly, detail-focused **Bookkeeper** to join our team in Irthlingborough. If you enjoy keeping things organised, have a head for numbers, and want to be part of a supportive workplace where your work is truly valued, this could be the role for you.

**What You’ll Do**
- Keep our financial records accurate and up to date
- Handle supplier invoices, payments, and customer receipts
- Carry out bank reconciliations and keep ledgers tidy
- Submit VAT returns and help keep us on track with HMRC deadlines
- Support with payroll and staff expenses
- Keep an eye on customer and supplier accounts, chasing or reconciling where needed
- Help with month-end and year-end tasks, working alongside our finance team and accountants

**What We’re Looking For**
- Previous bookkeeping or finance experience
- Comfortable using accounting software - _this business uses the accounts package within the Dealer Management System (Called Gemini) - Training will be provided._
- Good attention to detail and organisation skills
- Some knowledge of VAT and payroll processes
- A positive, proactive approach and good communication skills
- AAT qualification (or working towards it) is desireable, but not essential
