We have a vacancy for an outstanding and highly motivated Year 2 Team Leader at Manor Infant School. (Sandringham Road site).

**Key objectives of the role are to**:

- provide strong leadership focused on improving teaching and learning in the Year 2 classes
- lead, manage and develop the curriculum delivered to all pupils in the Year 2 classes
- lead and develop the practice of all staff working in the Year 2 classes
- successfully lead the team through the SATs and the borough moderation process
- the ability to recognise high-quality teaching in Year 2 and model this for others
- an in depth knowledge and understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum and experience of teaching across this phase
- knowledge and understanding of how young children learn best, including the acquisition of phonics
- experience of moderating work and assessing children successfully for the Key Stage 1 SATs
- experience of successfully leading others, “in however small a capacity”
- the ability to lead other adults and work collaboratively as part of a team
- effective communication skills
