JSS Search’s Public Sector division are pleased to be supporting a Government department, based in Central London, in their search for an Interim Finance Transformation Lead, on an initial 6-month contract. The organisation has adopted a hybrid working patternwith the expectation to attend their offices 2 days a week.

Due to the nature of this organisation, it is essential that you hold valid and current SC Security Clearance.

Specific responsibilities include:

- Provide insight to the Leadership Team and wider finance teams, including producing reports and dashboards for financial reviews and supplementary information to internal teams.
- Work with the wider programme team to deliver a new operating model, including the development of the skills and capability of finance staff.
- Support the upgrade of a finance system.
- Management of the transformation programme’s expenditure.
- Lead on enabling self-service capabilities in the business which allow them to access information and services without the need of finance intervention.
- Lead on the delivery of month-end activities, budgeting and forecasting.
- Mentoring and leading a small team.
- Hold valid and current SC level Security Clearance.
- Be a fully qualified CCAB accountant.
- Have experience of working in a finance transformation role and have ideally delivered a new or revised operating model.
- Possess working knowledge of Managing Public Money and central government accounting and budgeting rules.
- Please note, this role falls inside IR35, and will be paid through an umbrella company._
