We work with the retail and airline industry and play an active part in the planning, production storage and delivery of our Ice products from manufacturing sites to the final distribution centre, customer or store.

**Ultra Ice Mission**:
To produce and distribute consistently high quality ice products in a safe, legal, hygienic, responsible, authentic and profitable manner.

**Job purpose - General Summary and Scope**

To provide safe packaging and control of our products in a safe, hygienic and efficient manner, including the moving and safe storage of products and raw materials such as packaging stock. Ensuring a safe and hygienic working environment, including appropriate cleaning and organisation of the work areas and prevention of potential contaminants from internal and external areas. Ensuring the security of site from potential contaminants including those from visitors, sub contractors and intruders.

**Key duties and responsibilities**
- **Supervisory Job Duties**:

- Undertaking instruction on a shift by shift basis with the Production Supervisor on duty
- The safe packaging and storage of our products, fulfilling production requirements issued daily.
- To perform daily inspection checks on the forklift and record in the daily inspection log book.
- To escalate any problems with the inspection immediately to line manager
- To move ice from the production halls and dispatch the ice in the freezers in the described manner to assist in the efficient production and storage of ice
- Making sure the Reefers are locked and secure when not being emptied or filled.
- To load and unload lorries and vans.
- To keep the forklifts ready for use via electric charging or Diesel filling and to report any faults or damage in good time.
- To monitor and report on the condition of the pump trucks and quarantine if out of order or not fit for purpose and escalate communication of the same to line management
- **Stock**
- Monthly Stocktaking, recording and reporting of the film and pallet wrap etc
- Monthly Stocktaking, recording and reporting on the production boxes
- Monthly stocktaking, recording and reporting on the wooden and plastic pallets
- To input stock count data into the computer for costing.
- To notify line management of stock levels monthly so that reordering can be placed and relevant levels.
- To immediately escalate any issue on stock and stock levels
- To keep the box store clean and tidy for ease of access and stock count and for preservation of stock integrity
- To keep the film store clean and tidy for ease of access and stock count and preservation of stock integrity
- To assess production sheets for the following day and palletise the required film / boxes needed for both halls and put in place ready for production.
- To weigh the scrap film in both halls daily and record, and report
- Take the film to the compactor and compact
- To count the waste boxes and record daily and report and to then take them to the waste cardboard and dispose of in the bin
- To keep the yard tidy by sweeping and removing debris. In the winter salt the yard and keep the yard safe.
- To control the yard Biffa waste bins, and liaise with contractor to ensure efficiencies in disposal.
- To carry out the monthly COSSH store stock taking, record results, report them.
- To ensure the COSSH stock areas is clean and tidy for easy access and to maintain the integrity of the products.
- When all tasks fulfilled, to carry out bagging duties to assist the production colleagues as required.

**Qualifications and key skills**
- A good understanding of English for safety and communication purposes
- The ability to promote safety standards within a working environment

**Other Duties**
- The cleaning of the working environment to standards as outlined in trained procedures and schedules
- To comply with all trained procedures, including those relating to working environment, and those included within the employee handbook
- Reporting of any faults or hazards you believe may cause a food or physical injury to customers or any persons within the working environment
- Attendance of all relevant training courses, internal and external as provided by the company
- Any reasonable request of management
