Desktop Support Engineer

**Desktop Support Engineer / Desktop Support Analyst - Windows, O365, Hardware, Software**

Our rapidly growing client based in Manchester, is seeking a dynamic, hands on and technically astute Desktop Support Engineer / Desktop Support Analyst with providing hands-on knowledge of the procedures used in the installation, modification, maintenance,and repair of IT hardware and software.

The successful Desktop Support Engineer / Desktop Support Analyst will have good knowledge of Microsoft desktop operating knowledge 7 / 8.1 / 10, Office 365 (O365), Windows, Active Directory and good knowledge of networking.

Due to the nature of the location, you will require a driving license and car.

Other duties will include:

- Providing hands-on knowledge of the procedures used in the installation, modification, maintenance, and repair of IT hardware and software
- Being the first point of contact for escalated issues, questions, or concerns
- Perform initial diagnosis of all incident records with an aim of achieving First Contact Resolution (FCR)
- Be the primary contact to identify and raise system issues with the external support team, raising tickets, and managing these issues to ensure that they are resolved in a timely manner
- Supporting users in the use of computer equipment through advice and informal training
- Management of network printers, managing toners, and raising support calls with engineers

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are a must.

**Technical skills required**:

- Good knowledge of Microsoft desktop operating knowledge 7 / 8.1 / 10
- Experience of Microsoft O365
- Windows
- Ability to proactively manage tasks and prioritise own workload
- Experience in networking and network administration
- Experience providing support/customer services
- Great communication and teamworking skills
- Active directory experience
