An excellent opportunity has arisen at JSP Hauliers for a qualified HGV Mechanic to join our team. Basic hours are 47.5 hours per week

As a JSP Hauliers HGV Mechanic, you will assist in keeping our commitment to safety by taking responsibility for the repair and maintenance of our fleet and customer assets.

Key Responsibilities
- Day to day maintenance of assets
- Preventative maintenance - such as inspections, tyre rotation, oil changes
- Carry out fault diagnosis on electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Perform minor and major repairs to vehicles & trailers
- Monitoring inventory
- Sourcing parts
- Work in line with Health & Safety and safe working practices
- Vehicle inspections, servicing, and MOT preparation
- Using the company’s mobile van for client onsite maintenance and repairs
- Complete all relevant paperwork and documentation
- Perform any other duties as reasonably requested

**Skills**:

- Three years prior experience working in a similar role
- NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent required
- Strong HGV, van, and trailer knowledge
- Full driving licence
- CPC & C+E Entitlement on licence preferred but not essential
- Ability and desire to solve mechanical problems
- A keen eye for detail
- Team player
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Welding experience is preferred but not essential
- Competent in the use of the latest diagnostic equipment

**Salary**: £32,000.00-£33,000.00 per year
