**What does an apprentice support worker do?**

The Apprenticeship will take approximately 12 months to complete, and will allow you to achieve a Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care. You will work alongside experienced staff members, and learn the skills and knowledge you will need to become a confident Social Care Worker. You will be fully supported by your colleagues and your Manager throughout your Apprenticeship, and you will develop valuable experience within the industry.

The role of a support worker is to ensure the people we work with are safe, happy and lead fulfilling lives. Supporting someone with learning disability isn’t just personal care, you could be taking people shopping, cinema, bowling, spending days on trips out and many more activities.

**Where would I work?**

Stoke Lodge is a large, spacious detached house, set in a cul-de-sac just one mile from Basingstoke town centre. The home provides support to nine adults with severe learning disabilities and associated complex needs. The home has two bedrooms on the ground floor and seven on the first floor, all fully en-suite, plus two separate bathrooms. Further accommodation includes a spacious lounge, large dining room, a small quiet relaxation lounge, large modern kitchen and separate laundry/utility room. A separate building at the side of the property is used for activities, including computer, art and crafts sessions.
