Procurement Officer

As Procurement Officer, you’ll become part of a family run business that is one of the UK’s largest providers of workwear solutions and cleanroom consumables. You’ll develop and be responsible for the contracting of the strategic category of non-têxtile raw material and component supply.

**Salary - **Up to** **£36,000pa + bonus (dependent on qualifications and experience)

**Job Type - **Permanent Full Time / Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm

**Benefits - **30 days’ annual leave (including bank holidays), increasing to 33 days for loyalty service, Company Sick Pay scheme, A generous yearly bonus paid every January, to all staff.

**The Role**

You’ll lead product category and project reviews via **market analysis, tenders, contract negotiations and successful implementation of supplier relationships** as well as administer and monitor purchase orders and contractual arrangements.

You’ll also** **raise and issue purchase orders to suppliers and conduct assessments and reviews of supplier performance against KPIs, identifying opportunities within existing commercial/contractual terms to negotiate and re-contract supplier agreements.

You’ll also effectively identify, monitor and address supply chain risk in order to maintain appropriate stock levels and maximise business unit margin whilst providing support to the Purchasing Administrator when needed.

**Skills We Like**

Procurement activity within a manufacturing environment including planning, demand forecasting and inventory management, importing goods, working with freight forwarders, related import documentation and administering associated costs.

Experience of working in Pharmaceutical, Biotech, Lifesciences or Cleanroom sector.

Use of MRP systems.

Purchasing and managing shelf life, regulated, batch/lot-controlled products.
